Trill Burgers chef and co-owner Mike Pham won the “Burger: Impossible” episode of “Chopped” Tuesday night on the Food Network. 

The episode was shown live at Trill Burgers and Chef Mike watched with his wife and kids, who flew in from Southern California to join him.

Chef Mike took home top honors and a $10,000 prize, which he plans to distribute to a youth culinary program at Trill Burgers. His winning dishes included an Apple Chutney Southwestern Slider in the first round, Quadruple Cheese Fondue Lamb Burger in round two and Pâte à Choux Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Burger with a chocolate glazed cherry for dessert. 

The Vietnamese-American chef — who hails from Little Saigon in Orange County, California — has gone from “714 to 713” from his OC roots to Houston.

Classically trained in French cuisine, he graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Hollywood and devoted his early years to fine dining, working in Michelin-starred kitchens, including Providence in Hollywood under chef Michael Cimarusti before settling on his first love — burgers.
