Congratulations are in order to music superstar John Legend and wife, model Chrissy Teigen, as the couple is expecting another bundle of joy.

Nearly two years after suffering a devastating miscarriage, Teigen announced on social media Wednesday that she, indeed, has another bun in the oven.

“The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again. 1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way. Every appointment I’ve said to myself, “ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce” but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still. I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok phew it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”

Teigen, 36, underwent IVF treatments in order to conceive. The couple has two more children, 6-year-old Luna Simone and 4-year-old Miles Theodore. The family suffered a devastating public loss after Teigen miscarried their third child, a loss she heartbreakingly shared with fans and supporters.

We send our prayers and wish blessings upon the family for their “rainbow baby.” The term of endearment is given to a baby born subsequent to a miscarriage, stillbirth, or the death of an infant from natural causes.

SIDENOTE:

Legend, who is in Las Vegas for a residency, surprised members of National Association of Black Journalists when he “crashed” a reception at their 2022 convention.

NABJ VP Broadcast and reporter Ken Lemon shared the surprise on social media, posting, “When John Legend crashes the reception and gives you concert tickets. I told him, ‘John this is too much. We’re just ordinary people.’ Lol.”
