Alvin Community College held this week ceremonies for both its nursing students and police academy cadets.

On Dec. 7, a pinning ceremony was held at the ACC Gym for Associate Degree Nursing students. The Fall 2022 class included graduates from diverse backgrounds. Many of the students had an education and careers in other fields before joining the program.

Prior to the pinning ceremony, 15 graduates were inducted into the college’s Eta Tau chapter of the Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society in Nursing. To be eligible for the society, students must earn a B or better in all nursing courses and complete a capstone project before graduation. This was the second induction for the ACC chapter.
