R&B singer/songwriter Paloma Ford returns with the ravishing release of her eagerly awaited visual “All For Nothing” with rap icon Rick Ross. The Chandler Lass-directed visual complements the timeless Niko-produced track that was self-penned by Ford and rising songwriter Dazmin Laster. “All For Nothing” featuring Rick Ross has seen an outpour of acclaim and reception since the Long Beach native released her latest X Tapes project last year. Made available to watch/share/experience today, Paloma Ford unveils her most personal visual to date that smoothly weaves together genres of R&B, Soul, and Hip Hop while tackling introspective themes of love and loss.

Paloma Ford shares, “All For Nothing is the lead track for X Tapes and reflects the essence of the project. It’s the climax to a moment where things fall apart, and you have the choice to move past it or bask in the loss. It’s about having that true moment of honesty with yourself. I wanted the concept to be as strong as the lyrics and the message in the song and reflect my journey through love, loss, and the power behind these moments.”

Anticipation for the stunning visual release first ignited with Paloma Ford’s and Rick Ross’s appearance on Billboard’s social media takeover series a few short months ago to preview the making of “All For Nothing.” Rick Ross went on record to Billboard saying “When I pulled up on the set, Paloma told me the concept and it was so clean, so classic. When I use the word simple, I love that word because it means I understood it from the very first statement. It was extremely clear. The record is incredible, so make sure you stream and vibe to it right now.”

X Tapes is the acclaimed independent artist’s second EP which was released this past August. Praised for its smooth and sultry nostalgic sound and style X Tapes has already achieved success in Ford’s eyes based on the reception she received from fans as she took a step forward with amplifying her voice blanketed in real and raw vulnerability for the world to see. X Tapes has also gone on to gain achievements across media, music streaming services, and social media platforms.

ABOUT PALOMA FORD

As a singer, songwriter, designer, actress, and style icon, Paloma Ford exemplifies the feminine ideal from multiple angles. Her sultry and soulful delivery consistently captivates listeners on the microphone, tallying tens of millions of streams and views across critically acclaimed projects.

Amidst all of these separate sides, she describes herself best…

I’m just a mother and a girl from Los Angeles who has been through a lot of relatable experiences,” she states. “I’m very optimistic. I try to see the good in others. I love being able to help and heal people. I’m a private person, so I don’t show everything on my social media. In my music, you can recognize moments of sensuality and strength. It’s all part of being a woman. That’s the message. It’s important for me to talk about other situations I’ve been in that other women can relate to.”

Born in Los Angeles, she initially embraced music after moving to the Midwest. Settling in Ohio with mom “as one of only four black families in the neighborhood,” Paloma’s dad regularly sent boxes of CDs from Southern California. In these packages, she discovered The Notorious B.I.G., Mobb Deep, The Eisley Brothers, and more. Between countless viewings of Moonwalker, she often dressed up like Michael or Janet Jackson and eventually joined the choir in high school. “I was an athlete and a low-key choir nerd at the same time,” she smiles.

As she built a following on YouTube via independent tracks “Dollars,” “Ménage à Trois,” and “Hit of You,” Meek Mill enlisted her for his 2014 single “I Don’t Know,” which rose fast on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap Charts. In 2017, she unveiled her Nearly Civilized EP powered by a series of standout singles: “W.E.T.” [2.8 million Spotify streams], “Hit Of You” [1.8 million Spotify streams], and “Jada” [1.7 Million Spotify streams]. She appeared alongside Fabolous and Davo on “Connection” from Tory Lanez’s chart-topping Memories Don’t Die in 2018.
