With Hollywood halting productions every week due to the coronavirus pandemic, fans are looking for new talent and binge-worthy shows to watch in the new year. Meet rising star: Eric Jordon. He makes his TVOne debut on the drama series, Tough Love: Los Angeles.

The new 10-episode series follows a group of unapologetic Black millennials living in Los Angeles as they participate in a social experiment about love and relationships within the Black community. As they start to open up about intimate secrets, they reveal secrets and deceit that might jeopardize their tight-knit friendship circle.

“There are twists and turns with all of the characters,” Jordon said.

The original Tough Love web series premiered on YouTube on November 8, 2015. The series started as a micro budget project that eventually attracted more than 45,000 unique viewers with over one million channel views.

“I was a part of the original cast in New York,” Jordon said.

Tough Love isn’t the only show Jordon appears on this year. It was announced at the end of 2020 that seasons 1 and 2 of Giants would begin streaming on BET+. Giants is a drama series that journeys through the lives of three friends, each battling their own “inner giants” as they navigate adulthood in Los Angeles.

“Creator James Bland assembled a solid team and did a really good job with the show,” Jordon said at the 2019 Daytime Emmy Awards. “I have a fun cameo with Vanessa [Baden].”

Giants won two Daytime Emmy awards in 2019: Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Digital Daytime Drama Series; Outstanding Lead Actress in a Digital Daytime Drama Series.

Although the pandemic has slowed the world down, Jordon still has his eyes on his Hollywood dreams.

“I’m still auditioning, working out, reading scripts, creating my own content, and preparing for my next role,” Jordon said.
