Just one year after opening, Home Run Dugout will expand their first full-scale standalone venue in Katy, located at 1220 Grand W. Blvd. Founders Nick Hermandorfer and Tyler Bambrick opened the Home Run Dugout Katy location in March 2023, in partnership with strategic investors Nolan Ryan and Ryan Sanders Baseball, Lagniappe Capital Partners, BCS Capital, and the friends and family of Nick and Tyler. Since opening, Home Run Dugout has evolved into one of the greater Houston area’s premier entertainment destinations, introducing an immersive, gamified baseball playing experience, a regular rotation of events and concerts, an onsite restaurant and bar, massive patio and biergarten, a 24-foot jumbotron, more than 80 TVs, a Biergarten Baseball™ mini-field, and more.

Breaking ground later this month, the venue will add 9,242-square-feet, including 10 new indoor Batting Bays™, bringing the total to 22, which all include HRD’s proprietary, state-of-the-art pitching technology. Each bay features a 20×15 foot screen and five TVs, allowing players to track not only hitting stats, but be in control of any sporting event or other programming they want to watch. The new building can also be configured to accommodate large gatherings, including corporate events, birthday parties, graduation celebrations, client entertainment, and more.

The expansion will be located on the north side of the venue, behind the Biergarten Baseball field, with a targeted completion date of summer 2024. Construction has been planned to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations, allowing for continued service to customers throughout the construction period.

“The Katy community and the entire Houston area has been incredible to us over the past year,” said Tyler Bambrick, Home Run Dugout CEO. “One of our biggest takeaways from our first year of business was the need for additional Batting Bays to give groups a chance to experience the essence of Home Run Dugout. The new Bays paired with additional event-hosting space will give that many more people the opportunity to experience the fun of HRD.”
