The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is seeking candidates for numerous job openings during a hiring event from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at the Brazos Valley Council of Governments office.

The HHSC Office of Access and Eligibility Services (AES) is seeking candidates for positions in Bryan and across Texas. Employees in these positions will join a dynamic team that helps Texans access food, health care and cash assistance services through Medicaid, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program

“HHSC gives opportunities to Texans that want to make a difference for others across the state,” said Gracie Perez, interim associate commissioner for eligibility operations. “If anyone wants to be part of something bigger than themselves, they should look into a career with us.”

HHSC offers competitive salaries, employer paid health benefits, and paid vacation and sick leave. Employees also receive on average of 15 paid holidays per year and join a defined benefit plan with lifetime annuities.

Interviews will be conducted on site, and conditional offers may be made to qualified candidates. Candidates must pass a background check before they start work.
