Former NFL quarterback Ryan Mallett has died according to reports coming out of Arkansas.

According to reports, 35-year-old Ryan was transported to a local hospital from a beach on Tuesday afternoon, but he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Ryan was an all-star in high school and went on to play at the collegiate level for the  Arkansas Razorbacks. Mallett holds the all-time single-season passing yards and passing touchdown records along with the single-season records for total offense and total touchdowns.

He went on to play in the NFL for several years before settling into his current role as the Arkansas White Hall High School head coach in 2022.

There are no further details as to what led to the drowning of Ryan Mallett at this time.
