The rapper’s death came just hours after he posted photos of a bloody crime scene in which a man allegedly tried to rob him. That led to an intense struggle, ultimately ending with the suspect being fatally shot by the rapper’s girlfriend.

BTB Savage described the incident to an interviewer on Vlad TV and posted images of the scene on social media.

Many felt he appeared to be boasting about the unfortunate incident, which they said could have contributed to his own death.

No motive for the shooting has been released.

After Savage was shot, witnesses said two suspects fled in an unknown black Subaru SUV at a high rate of speed. One suspect was described only as a black male wearing all black.

Further investigation led to the identity of Burley as one of the suspects and he was subsequently charged in the shooting. The identity of the second suspect is unknown.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Burley or on the identity of the other wanted suspect is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or speak anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
