Halloween is fast approaching and it’s time to break out the old spell book for a dangerously delightful dessert guaranteed to make your kids scream for more. Cookies and Scream is brought to you by our ghoulish friends at Cooking Professionally.
Ingredients
• 1 (12-ounce) box woven grain cereal, such as Chex
• 1 (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips
• 1 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
• 5 cups chocolate wafer cookie, smashed into crumbs
For decorating:
• marshmallow ghosts, cats, pumpkins, etc.
• gummy worms
Directions
Empty the grain cereal into a large bowl, then set aside.
Melt the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and butter together in a saucepan over low heat until combined.
Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal, tossing to ensure it’s thoroughly coated.
Add in 4 cups of the chocolate wafer cookie crumbs, tossing to coat.
Pour the mixture into a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
Then sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cookie crumbs over the top.
Cover and let set in the fridge.
Once set, decorate the graveyard with gummy worms, marshmallow ghosts, etc. Slice and serve.
