“Lies, Secret Recordings and Unrequited Apologies” is not the name of a new Lifetime Movie. It is, however, a combination of recent dialogue that comedienne Mo’Nique has released in her long journey to seek justice from Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey, Lee Daniels and Lions Gate Films.

If you’ve been living under a rock and aren’t familiar with Mo’Nique claiming to be blackballed in Hollywood, let us catch you up.

In 2009, Mo’Nique received an Oscar for her role in the Lee Daniels movie, “Precious.” Unfortunately, that was the last major role that Mo’Nique would receive, and she blames Perry, Winfrey and Daniels for calling her “difficult,” causing others to not want to work with her.

And if that wasn’t enough, the “Queen of Comedy” has spent years going on interviews and demanding an apology from each of the Hollywood heavyweights.

Now that we are all on the same page, let’s get to this secret recording.

Recently, the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” released its 30th-year reunion special where Will Smith and his former TV aunt, Janet Hubert, squashed their differences. Mo’Nique posted the clip on social media, complimenting Smith on apologizing, then demanding that Perry do the same.

In the post, Mo’Nique captioned the message, “P.S. Tyler you won E! PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD for being the people’s champ for your body of work. Tell the truth about a woman named Mo’Nique who did nothing wrong & be a champion for the individuals who supported your career for years….THE BLACK WOMEN. PLEASE SWIPE TO HEAR TYLER PERRY SAY IT WITH HIS OWN WORDS.”

And it doesn’t stop there. Mo’Nique then shared a secret recording of her and allegedly Perry, where the person admits to Mo’Nique being blackballed by the studios.

“I just watched your podcast and it really broke my heart and I feel you,” the man in the recording said. “For me, I’m not anyone that wants to hurt or upset anybody, especially you. It’s just heartbreaking, I don’t ever want you to think that I’m trying to blackball. I had written something, and I was thinking,’ Should I sent this to her?’– but Lionsgate would’ve had a fit.”

The man also says in the phone call that he would be willing to make a statement about the blackball allegations during his press tour.

“I will let all this cool off and when I get back on my press tour, I know it’s gonna come up, that’s when I will talk about it. It’s too hot, it’s too hot. Ya’ll heated it up.”

It is not known when this recording was taken or what tour the man was mentioning, but we are sure that more will be revealed.

Perry has yet to comment or apologize.
