Social media has become the most useful tool for creatives, especially Black creatives who are continuously overlooked, to gain recognition and business. Here are 5 Black creatives on social media you should know about.

  1. Ally Green

Native Houstonian Ally Green is a digital and film photographer based in Los Angeles. She has shot multiple campaigns with Nike, Adidas, and multiple large magazines. Her mission is “capturing energy, black beauty, and black power” through her art. You can find her on Instagram here.

2. Rahm Bowen

 

Rahm Bowen is a personal favorite of mine. Not only are his portraits vibrant and strikingly captivating, they also capture Black energy, elegance, and beauty. You can find Bowen’s website on his Instagram here.

3. Art By Venus Studio

4. Dwayne Royal – DOOGA Art

5. Jonah Elijah

Jonah Elijah, a painter and collage artist, is a native of Third Ward, Houston, Texas. The Jack Yates High School alum is responsible for the Black Lives Matter mural honoring George Floyd on Alabama Street in Third Ward.
