2 (9.5-ounce) cans flaky refrigerated biscuits
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
fresh parsley, optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 – In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and the onion and cook, while crumbling the meat, until the beef is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 3 – Drain the excess grease and return the cooked ground beef mixture to the skillet.

Step 4 – Add the barbeque sauce and the hot pepper sauce to the cooked ground beef mixture and let it simmer.

Step 5 – Open 1 can of the biscuits and separate them into 10 biscuits.

Step 6 – In an ungreased 9×13-inch baking dish, in a single layer, evenly add the biscuits and by hand, press the biscuits together over the bottom and about halfway up the sides of the dish to form a crust.

Step 7 – Evenly add the ground beef mixture on top of the biscuit layer.

Step 8 – Evenly sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top of the ground beef mixture layer.

Step 9 – Open the remaining can of biscuits and separate them into 10 biscuits.

Step 10 – Place the biscuits over the cheese layer.

Step 11 – Bake until the crust is golden-brown and the cheddar cheese is melted, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 12 – Serve garnished with the parsley.
