New Years Eve guests can enjoy a curated, five-course prix fixe menu paired with a welcome splash of sparkling wine upon arrival, plus a champagne toast for later seatings. Start your New Year’s Eve celebrations off early with brunch at premier Mexican restaurant, Arnaldo Richards’ Picos. Picos’ famous brunch buffet is served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is filled with traditional Mexican classics plus signature breakfast dishes. The hearty buffet also includes traditional fan favorites such as migas, huevos con nopales, enchiladas suizas, carne guisada, frijoles and more, in addition to a rotating chef’s carving station, omelet and waffle stations, and a variety of desserts. The all you can eat buffet is $54 for adults, $42 for seniors, $30 for children over eight years old, and free for children under eight years old.

Indulge in an exquisite showcase of artfully prepared New American cuisine by Chef Andre Garza, infused with French, Latin, and Asian influences. Elevate your dining experience with an optional $80 wine pairing.

The prix fixe menu features offerings such as Canapé Carolina Gold Rice with caviar and pickled pepper relish, Seared Duck Breast with greens and jamon iberico XO, and Beef Wellington with mushroom jus, chanterelles, and roast turnips. For dessert, enjoy warm Miso Apple Crisp with black sesame oat crumble and vanilla ice cream.

On New Year’s Day, Eloise Nichols will be serving guests a free bowl of Black Eyed Peas in accordance with the popular tradition that promises good luck, health, and abundance in 2024. Spend New Year’s Eve at Le Jardinier in the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston! The modern, French dining institution by The Bastion Collection is celebrating with a one-day-only multi-course dinner created by chef de cuisine Felipe Botero. The four-course menu for the early seating at 5 pm ($165) includes Chilled Crab with avocado, crustacean tartar sauce, winter citrus and Royal Kaluga caviar; Chestnut Ricotta Agnolotti with sunchoke fondant, chips and shaved black truffles; Poached Maine Lobster with broccoli-ginger coulis, potatoes, cabbage and lemongrass emulsion or American Wagyu Beef Bavette with celeriac, macaroni and Périgueux sauce; and Maroon Glace Mont Blanc with arabica infused light cream, chestnut confit and crispy meringue for dessert. The six-course menu for the second seating at 7:30 pm ($295) includes the Poached Maine Lobster and a Dry-Aged Ribeye with the addition of an AOP Gruyere Cheese Soufflé with shaved black truffles and Arbois infused winter mushroom coulis. Neighborhood favorite Tex-Mex restaurant, Los Tios, is celebrating the new year with Menudo and Margaritas! Guests can enjoy the traditional Mexican soup made with cow’s stomach in a broth with a red chili pepper base known for its hangover cure abilities all-day long. Los Tios will also be serving $5 house margaritas and $6 gold margaritas for those who prefer to take part in the hair of the dog on New Year’s Day.

Ring in the New Year at MaKiin, the recently opened upscale Thai concept by Kin Dee owner, Lukkaew Srasrisuwan. Nestled on the ground level of luxury high-rise Hanover River Oaks, MaKiin invites guests to enjoy a special New Year’s Eve dinner service until 10 p.m. featuring meticulously designed dishes full of distinctive flavors. Highlights include Chef O’s Award-Winning Chicken – deboned chicken wings and a chicken lollipop stuffed with ground chicken, carrots, potatoes, and Massaman curry paste atop a bed of potato pave, plus a dash of gold dust added tableside; and the Sizzling Northern Adventure, paper-thin sliced short ribs in a Northern-style yellow curry broth with crispy egg noodles, pickled green mustard, red onion, quail egg, and chili oil – all served on a sizzling hot stone.

Make your New Years Eve a celebration to remember at swanky Italian chophouse, Marmo, who features some of the city’s most decadent hand-rolled pastas, house-made charcuterie, and hand-cut prime steaks. On Sunday, December 31st Marmo will offer a four-course prix fixe menu, available for $145 per person during the afternoon and early dinner day parts – perfect for those looking to dine before their midnight plans begin. For those looking to ring in the new year at Marmo, the restaurant will offer a second seating for $175 per person, including a champagne toast and midnight festivities.

Prix fixe menu highlights include Wagyu Carpaccio with treviso, lemon olive oil, and parmigiano; Pumpkin Agnolotti adorned with sage brown butter and hazelnut granola; Wild Mushroom Risotto made with madeira, parmigiano, and herbs; Tuna Wellington featuring prosciutto and cacio e pepe hollandaise; and the juicy Wagyu New York Strip with eggplant purée porcini jus.
