“Takeoff,” one-third of the famous rap trio “Migos,” was shot and killed at a party in Houston early Tuesday, according to authorities.

The rapper, whose real name is Kirsnik Khari Ball, was the youngest member of the group and known as the quiet one. The other members, Quavo, was his uncle and Offset was his cousin.

Houston police and paramedics from the Houston Fire Department were dispatched to reports of a shooting at 810 Billiards & Bowling, located in the downtown area, shortly after 2:30 a.m.

Emergency crews arrived to find a large crowd gathered on a balcony outside of the third-floor bowling alley, and a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head or neck. The man, Takeoff, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 28 years old.

According to TMZ, Quavo and Takeoff were playing dice when some sort of altercation occurred, and someone opened fire.

Photos of the victim immediately spread across social media.

Images showed his uncle Quavo trying to administer aid to him, along with others trying to help. Quavo was not injured in the shooting, but at least two others were, police said.

Offset, who is married to rapper Cardi B, was not in Houston when the tragedy occurred.

Recently, it was announced that Offset was pursuing a solo career, and Takeoff and Quavo addressed that in recent interviews.

Takeoff let it be known that they were all still family, noting that they were just taking a break at the time.

He and Quavo released their debut “Only Built for Infinity Links,” without Offset. On Monday, they released a project as the duo, “Unc & Phew” with their latest music video, “Messy.”

He also said on an interview on the “Drink Champs” podcast that he wanted his fans and loved ones to “give him his flowers now,” rather than when he was gone.

It was an eery foreshadow of what was to come, with him dying just a week later.

It is so true. We never know when we are going to leave this Earth so cherish every day and always tell people you love them. Rest in Peace, forever young king.
