PHOTOS: Blue Angels visit kids with cancer at Texas Children’s Hospital
The Blue Angels team recently stopped by Texas Children’s Hospital to meet with some very special patients.
Inside the Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center, visitors decorated wooden airplanes together with patients, who each received a signed commemorative photo, a poster and stickers.
One patient even got to work on music with one of the Blue Angels inside the Purple Songs Can Fly studio!

Dr. Timothy Porea, physician at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center and a U.S. Navy veteran, welcomed Blue Angels flight surgeons, Dr. Philippe Warren and Dr. Monica Borza.
Dr. Porea completed his residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA, followed by his fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Texas Children’s Hospital.
