The Houston Zoo is inviting all little ghouls and goblins to its month-long, family favorite Zoo Boo, presented LyondellBasell. From Oct. 1–31, guests are encouraged to wear their best costumes for the Zoo’s frightfully delightful Halloween event.

This year’s Zoo Boo will offer thrills and chills packed with family fun. New this year, guests can enjoy the animal pumpkin carvings throughout the Zoo, take the perfect fall portrait with the haystack lion and walk through the pumpkin tunnel made up of 500 pumpkin lanterns, located near the lion’s exhibit. Guests can also visit the Spooky Train sponsored by Texas Children’s Hospital and take a spin on the spooktacular Scary-Go-Round.

Guests can enter a weekly digital costume contest when they tag their Zoo Boo photos using the hashtag #HoustonZoo.

The animals will also be joining in the fun! Every weekend in October, the animals will receive special fall-themed enrichment, including carved pumpkins and ice pops filled with their favorite treats.

All Zoo Boo activities are included in general admission and are free for Zoo members. Tickets and reservations must be made online prior to attending the event.
