The names Will Packer and BET have become synonymous with defining black culture on television, but a recent newcomer is creating a lane all her own inside the Packer and BET + family.

Get to know screenwriter and producer, Felischa Marye who is the brainchild behind the BET+ hit show “BIGGER.”

A former corporate executive turned screenwriter and producer, Marye left her corporate job to pursue her passions, and landed on the set of the Netflix teen drama “13 Reasons Why.”

Now a seasoned show writer and producer Marye’s “Bigger” which was added to the BET+ 2018-2019 lineup hit a huge resurgence during the pandemic, thanks to the show’s prime demographic, who were stuck at home streaming and binge-watching.

After its initial release on February 18, 2020, fans were not sure if the show would return but, BET+ announced that the show will be picked up for a second season, which aired on April 22, 2021.

Although a third season has not been released, Marye shared during an interview with the popular morning talk show “The Breakfast Klub” that they have a strong safety team that has allowed production to continue to shoot. “I got tested 3 times a week and the actors got tested 3 times a week to limit the potential spread, it’s been tense I can’t lie,” said Marye.
