City Place is closing out the holiday season with a New Year’s Eve celebration that blends family fun, immersive art, and a high-tech twist on tradition — capped with a dazzling midnight drone show over The Plaza.

Families can start the countdown early at Noon Year’s Eve from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Little revelers will enjoy a lively kids’ DJ, festive balloon drop at noon, sparkling apple and grape juice toasts, and fun “2026” swag while supplies last.

As night falls, the celebration continues with City Place Midnight Lights, transforming the outdoor district into North Houston’s premier NYE destination. Guests can enjoy live DJ sets, roaming entertainment, photo ops, and food trucks — all leading up to the showstopping moment when thousands of synchronized drones illuminate the night sky. The visual spectacle will feature imagery inspired by artworks created by students from Harmony Science Academy–City Place, making the breathtaking display a creative community collaboration.

All activities are free and open to the public, making this an easy and unforgettable way to welcome 2026.
