White Chocolate Alert: Colston Loveland Just Sang His Way Into the Culture Club

Social media is in shambles after Chicago Bears rookie Colston Loveland showed the world he’s not just about the playbook, he’s about the playlists too. The tight end went viral for crooning Mario’s classic Let Me Love You, and even Mario himself had to give him his flowers, telling TMZ, “He swagged it out.”

Now here’s the thing: it’s one thing to play ball, but it’s another to tap into the soulful lane usually reserved for the R&B boys. Colston may have just cracked open the door to that elusive “White Chocolate” club, a place where a select few melanin-deprived brothers manage to pull crossover appeal with Black women.
It’s not an easy club to get into; you gotta have that mix of swag, charm, and the ability to not look goofy when the beat drops.
So, in honor of young Colston possibly being the next inductee, let’s run through the lineup of our favorite Melanin-Deprived Soul Brothers. From the OGs who’ve been stamped by the culture, to the new faces who somehow found rhythm where we didn’t expect it, here are our favorite Soulful Snowflakes.
Jon B – The blueprint. If you grew up in the 90s, you know Jon B had every Black auntie convinced he was light-skinned. His duet with Babyface on Someone to Love still goes.

Chet Hanks – Tom Hanks’ wild child. Chet somehow stays on the cultural radar, and with his sexy eyes and his dad’s charm, we can understand why.

Jack Kesy – The actor won the hearts of sistahs nationwide playing Niecy Nash’s bad boy boo Roller Hussler in the TV series Claws. His rugged good looks and playful personality make him dangerous territory.

Joshua Jackson – From Dawson’s Creek to Queen & Slim husband vibes. Black women have been clocking him since the Pacey days

Joseph Sikora – Tommy from Power. Enough said. He’s basically been knighted in the cookout hall of fame.

Nick Jonas – Went from Disney kid to R&B-adjacent heartthrob. His collabs with Nicki and his swaggy little runs give him honorary points.

John Stamos – Uncle Jesse been holding it down since Full House. Still fine, still cool, still timeless.

Matthew McConaughey – Mr. “Alright, alright, alright.” Texas-born charm and Southern drawl. The aunties call him “fine wine.”

Zac Efron – From High School Musical to Hollywood heartthrob. Sis, he grew into those looks.

Justin Bieber – Went from swoopy bangs to R&B-pop king. His Journals album still a slept-on classic in Black Twitter circles.

Tyler Herro – Miami Heat baller with just enough confidence to pull it off. His jumper and his drip both hit.

Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) – The rock-rap rebel with a soft spot for R&B collabs. His loving fatherly relationship with his daughter, Cassie, which he fathered in his teens locked him in as one of the culture’s most discussed white boys.

Adam Sandler – Now don’t laugh, he made the list because the culture secretly rocks with him. Funny, loyal, and lowkey beloved.

Channing Tatum – Magic Mike. Do we even need to explain?

John Cena – WWE champ turned Hollywood actor. His smile alone could sell out arenas.

Robin Thicke – The voice. The falsetto. The Lost Without U era had Black women locked in heavy.
