From the acclaimed team behind The Astorian, Le Tesserae, and Jackson & Company comes Aperitivo, a bold and breathtaking rooftop cocktail lounge that promises to elevate Houston’s social scene—literally and figuratively.

Perched on the fifth floor of 2940 Riverby Road in the heart of Midway’s East River development, Aperitivo opens this May with skyline views, live entertainment, and a taste of “la dolce vita.” The Italian-inspired concept is designed as a high-energy yet sophisticated escape, marrying Mediterranean flavor with Houston flair.

“We’re excited to be part of an evolving neighborhood that is reshaping Houston,” said Sebastien Laval, COO of the group. “Aperitivo is sure to become a landmark with one of the most beautiful, breathtaking views of Houston.”

The 1,500-square-foot indoor lounge opens into a sweeping 5,000-square-foot grand patio overlooking Buffalo Bayou and the downtown skyline. While part of the larger Le Tesserae event space, Aperitivo will serve as a standalone social hotspot when not reserved for private events.

Expect rotating activations, weekend brunch, coffee service, and a menu of indulgent Mediterranean small plates—from foie gras cannoli and truffle fries to salmon with roasted cauliflower and filet with gorgonzola butter. Executive chef Adam Paul of Jackson & Company and Master Patissier Almendra Callirgos have curated a luxe culinary lineup topped off with decadent desserts like limoncello tiramisu and Dubai chocolate bonbons.

The bar menu, crafted by mixologists from the World’s 50 Best Bars, is equally stunning. Signature drinks include the Sevilla Spritz, spicy Paloma e Melone, and the herbaceous Gin Mare G&T, all designed to match the venue’s chic, Venetian-inspired aesthetic.

Aperitivo will open to the public Wednesday through Saturday from 5 p.m., with weekend brunch and coffee hours rolling out soon. On private event days, the venue will be closed to the public.
