Condolences were pouring in Thursday after it was announced that Houston entertainment legend Scott Gertner has died. A message confirming his death was posted on his official Facebook page.   

The post read, “We are deeply saddened today to share the news of the unexpected passing of Houston entertainment icon Scott Gertner. Our family is heartbroken and still processing this sudden loss. We appreciate your expressions of love and kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this difficult time. Funeral details will be shared soon. 💔🙏

 

Gertner was a three-time Grammy-nominated artist and a prominent figure in Houston’s live music and nightlife scene. He was also instrumental in shaping the city’s entertainment landscape through venues like Scott Gertner’s Skybar & Grille, Sports Bar Live, and the Rhythm Room. His establishments have hosted renowned artists and offered a blend of live music and dining experiences.

One thing about Scott, he definitely had SOUL!

Social media was flooded Thursday with friends and fans offering their well wishes and sharing memories.

Gertner’s cause of death has not yet been released.
