MF Lobster & Seafood at Autry Park has officially launched its new brunch service, delighting Houston diners with a creative, seafood-forward menu curated by the restaurant’s newest addition, Chef Matt Cornelius.

Chef Matt’s arrival earlier this month marks a bold new chapter for MF Lobster & Seafood. With a decorated career spanning from Philadelphia to Delaware, Chef Matt brings his signature flair for refined, seasonal flavors and inventive seafood dishes to Houston’s dynamic culinary scene.

Originally from Albany, NY, Chef Matt trained under world-renowned chefs like Georges Perrier and Christopher Lee after graduating from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. His leadership at acclaimed restaurants like Off the Hook and Our Harvest established his reputation for thoughtful, ingredient-driven cuisine—skills now on full display at MF Lobster & Seafood.

Since stepping into his role, Chef Matt has worked closely with Chef Chris Kinjo to elevate the restaurant’s offerings. Together, they have unveiled a standout brunch menu that fuses refined culinary techniques with bold, coastal-inspired ingredients.

Now available every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the brunch menu features imaginative selections such as:

  • Eggs Benedict in four varieties: Lobster, Braised Bacon, Pork Belly, and Classic
  • Wagyu Steak n’ Eggs with horseradish and crack potatoes
  • Maine Lobster Popovers with butter, sherry, and lyles golden syrup
  • Pain Perdu topped with caramelized apples and whipped maple mascarpone
  • Bagels n’ Lox, NE Lobster Roll, and a hearty COD Sandwich

Complemented by an array of brunch cocktails—including spritzes, mimosas, and a signature carajillo—the brunch experience finishes strong with decadent desserts like a Red Velvet Trifle, Pistachio Raspberry Cheesecake, and Dark Chocolate Pot de Crème.

Located at the edge of Buffalo Bayou Park, MF Lobster & Seafood is housed in a stunning 2,200-square-foot round pod designed by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture. The striking venue, featuring a six-seat Onyx bar and an expansive patio, provides the perfect setting for a weekend indulgence.
