Dolton, Illinoise Mayor Tiffany Henyard and her man throw hands at heated township meeting

Thornton Township meetings are supposed to be about business, but this one turned into a WWE main event real quick. Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard and her boyfriend, Kamal Woods, decided they had time today and got into a full-on brawl with activist Jedidiah Brown.
The drama popped off when Brown took the mic and called out Henyard, hitting her with some harsh words. Apparently, Woods wasn’t having it, because moments later, he stepped up, and things got physical fast. Video footage shows a heated exchange before punches were thrown, and not to be left out, Henyard jumped in too! Because apparently, if one fights, we all fight!

Clips of the scuffle went viral, and folks had plenty to say. Calumet City Alderwoman Monet S. Wilson didn’t hold back, calling the situation “disgraceful” and warning parents to keep their kids far away from township meetings because they clearly aren’t safe spaces anymore.

But let’s be real—this isn’t the first time Henyard has been caught up in controversy. The mayor is already under fire for alleged financial mismanagement, with former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot recently revealing an investigation into how Henyard has been handling taxpayer money. To make matters worse, a Cook County judge ruled that Henyard’s name won’t even be on the ballot for the upcoming township supervisor election, though folks can still write her in if they choose.
Henyard’s lawyer, Beau B. Brindley, is playing defense, blaming the chaos on what he calls “false accusations and misinformation.” He says the non-stop criticism has created a dangerous situation for Henyard and her team.
As for Henyard? She hasn’t said a word about the fight, but the streets are talking, and this latest scandal has only added fuel to the fire. At this point, she might as well drop a mixtape because Thornton Township politics got more beef than a backyard BBQ. One thing’s for sure—this ain’t the last time we’re gonna hear about this mess. Stay tuned!
