Rapper Lil Durk, is facing a litany of charges after being detained by U.S. Marshals on October 24, 2024, in Florida. The Grammy Award Winning Chicago-born artist, whose legal name is Durk Devontay Banks is currently being held without bond in Broward County.

The indictment states that members of Lil Durk’s hip-hop collective, Only the Family (OTF), were involved in a retaliatory plot against rapper Quando Rondo, in response to the death of OTF member King Von, who was fatally shot in 2020.

Rondo’s associate, Timothy “Lul Timm” Leeks, was initially charged, but the charges were later dropped.

Key members of OTF allegedly conspired and traveled to Los Angeles with the intent to harm Quando Rondo, but instead, shot his cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, in August 2022.

According to the indictment, Durk financed the operation and is suspected of ordering the hit. If convicted Durk could face potential life sentences, depending on the evidence.

Prosecutors indicate significant supporting evidence, including possible recordings from an informant over several years. While the informant’s identity and specific details haven’t been disclosed, this type of testimony could prove crucial in building the case against Durk and his associates if it directly ties him to the planning or financing of the alleged plot.
