Focus on Hurricane Preparedness: Win a Generator or Power Supply!

By: LaDonna Weems
Hurricane season is upon us, and your Houston Public Library is here to help you stay powered up during a storm! This year, we’re excited to launch our Library Card Sign-Up Campaign with a special focus on hurricane preparedness. By signing up for a MYLink library card, not only do you gain access to a wealth of resources, but you also have the chance to win. One lucky new MYLink cardholder will have the chance to win a generator. The second-place winner will receive a portable power station, and the third-place winner will take home a power bank.
With the peak of hurricane season on September 10, as noted by the National Hurricane Center, it’s crucial to stay prepared. Most hurricane activity occurs between mid-August and mid-October, making now the perfect time to sign up for your MYLink card and enter our giveaway.
