The ” Sickle CELLebrity Golf Tournament” is not just about swinging clubs and sinking putts; it’s also about making a significant impact on the lives of those affected by sickle cell disease. Sickle cell disease is a hereditary blood disorder that affects millions worldwide, and the As-One Foundation is committed to raising awareness and funds to support research and patient care.
“This is the first time that we are hosting a golf tournament so we want it to be very special,” said As one Foundation executive Director Tomia Austin. “Everything that we do is to honor the legacy of our founder’s brother, Devaughn, who died from Sickle Cell Trait. This event is no different. It is another way for us to continue to shine a light of this incurable illness and raise funds for our community projects in memory of Devaughn.”
In addition to the star-studded golf tournament, there will be a special Women’s Golf clinic hosted by Golf Women Mean Business. This clinic is an excellent opportunity for women of all skill levels to improve their golf game while networking with influential women in the golf industry.
Join us for a day of golf, celebrities, and giving back. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against sickle cell disease. We look forward to seeing you on the green on September 19th!
