Actress Gabrielle Union is sharing her lifestyle version “of the rich and famous” after revealing in a recent interview that even she feels like she is living paycheck-to- paycheck and splits all of the bills with her husband.

Union appeared on an episode of Bloomberg’s “Idea Generation” where she discussed her fears about not being able to feed her family.

“I get nervous like ‘Oh God that movie didn’t open, what does that mean, am I going to have enough to hold everybody up?’ And I’m trying to find peace in the journey not using my anxiety and scarcity mindset to be my engine,” she shared. “It’s weird to say I’m head of household cause in this household we split everything 50/50. But in the other households, each of us have to support. It puts this gorilla on your back like you gotta work, you wanna sleep in? Somebody might not eat.”

After the interview aired fans of the actress were left with more questions than they had answers. For starters many wondered what other households was she speaking of and if she was possibly living above her means.

But the major question was why would she split half of her household bills when her husband Dwyane Wade was one of the highest-paid NBA players during his career? The former Miami Heat player officially retired in 2019 with a net worth of $175 million and Union, in her own right, is said to be worth $40 million.

Comparisons were quickly drawn between Union and Savannah James, wife of NBA legend LeBron James, who chose to be a stay-at-home mom. Others were quick to judge Union for paying bills after she admitted to engaging in anal cunnilingus with her husband after he cheated and had an outside child.

Union has not responded to fans or critics regarding her statements but it goes to show you that, no matter what level you are at, there’s always some level of anxiety when finances are involved.
