The Tomball School District and Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office are going the extra mile to ensure our precious cargo is safer on campus.

Over the past few months, Herman’s office has instructed constable deputies, in both student resource officer training and active shooter training, at his academy.

This was in preparation to now the permanent assignment of constable deputies to the Tomball Independent School District. Precinct 4 is currently partnering with the Tomball Police Department and providing police protection to the school district. 

In addition, the Constable’s office has deployed  additional resources and personnel to the district, and more will be added for the upcoming school year.

This past week, K-9 “Mattress Mack “ and his handler, Deputy George Henson, visited many of the schools. The dog is certified in both bomb/ gun detection and patrol.

“One of our goals is to foster positive relationships among law enforcement, educators, and youth; and helping to promote a positive school climate,” Constable Herman said.
