Chaka Khan is not happy about being listed as number 29 on “Rolling Stone 200 Greatest Singers of All Time” and she had harsh words for everyone on the list, especially Mary J. Blige.

Khan has had a history with Mary J. Blige dating back to Blige’s debut album in 1992 when Blidge covered Khan’s hit song “Sweet Thing.”

“I told Mary J. Blige she fucked it up,” Khan said. “Number one, her vocals were flat, and I asked her I said: ‘what time did you, what time of day was it or night, what were you doing when you decided to cover ‘Sweet Thing’ and where were you at when you covered it?’”

According to Complex Magazine Khan claimed Mary J. Blige then said: “Oh girl I been up late and it was at eight in the morning girl.”

“I said girl you don’t sing nothing at eight in the motherfucking morning,” Khan continued. “Especially if you have to get up to sing it. If you’d been up all night, smoking crack or something, I don’t know, it might have been a whole different thing. But you don’t get up at eight in the morning to sing girl. But she and I have that kind of relationship we can talk…you know, I love her. She loves me. We don’t have a problem. Now the press would love to make it a motherfucking problem.”

Despite Khan saying that she and Blige were cool, her tone quickly changed when she was told by the interviewer that Blige was listed as number 25 on the greatest singers list.

That definitely did not go over well and Auntie Chaka let them have it saying, “these bitches are blind as a motherfucking bat! They need hearing aids. They don’t have hearing aids? They have no eyes. They have no ears. These must be the children of Helen Keller!’”

Khan was then told that Mariah Carey was listed as number 5 and Beyonce was number 8. Khan responded by accusing Mariah of paying for ranking but refused to throw shade at Queen B.

“I don’t have anything to say about Beyoncé,” said Chaka. “She’s a great singer, okay?”

The only person that Chaka agreed with was the late Aretha Franklin who she felt earned her place as the number one of all time replying to the interviewer “As she fucking should be.”

Khan rose to fame in the 70s during the funk era. She has acquired 8 Grammy Awards throughout her career and is highly regarded by her peers as an icon in pop culture.
