Holocaust Museum Houston (HMH) will kickoff its Moving Forward Lecture Series with a presentation from Mark Toubin, Regional Director of Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Southwest. Toubin will discuss the rise in antisemitism and how the community can combat hate in the Museum’s Albert and Ethel Herzstein Theater on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m.

A recent ADL audit found that antisemitic incidents more than doubled from 2020 to 2021 in the Southwest Region. ADL’s 2021 national Audit of Antisemitic Incidents recorded the highest number of incidents of assault, harassment and vandalism since the organization began tracking antisemitic incidents in 1979.

Mark Toubin joined ADL as its Southwest Regional Director in 2019 following a career in law, politics and non-profit. A former litigator, Mark joined the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) as its Southwest Regional Director in 1999. Between AIPAC and ADL, Mark operated a consulting practice focused on strategic communication, government affairs, non-profit, and politics.  Mark is married and has two children, ages 23 and 26.
