The world of fans for both Marvel Studios and late actor Chadwick Boseman wonder if the “Black Panther” series can survive following the death of its lead actor/ character. Well, it’s now official, we will all get answers to that question on November 11.

The official trailer dropped over the weekend for “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” It appears the entire cast of lead characters has returned, carrying on without Bozeman.

“It’s been five years since I was here. I sat about there and we premiered the first footage from ‘Black Panther 1,’ and sitting next to me was our T’Challa, the late great Chadwick Boseman,” director Ryan Coogler shared with the crowd at Comic-Con, where the trailer was released. “I promise you, I can feel his hand on me right now.”

We do see “Queen Mother Ramonda,” Angela Bassett, with more of a presence.

“I am Queen of the most powerful nation in the world, and my entire family is gone,” the Queen emotionally proclaims.

A scene showing Wakandans in all white appears to be a funeral scene or tribute to King T’Challa and the emotional music and lyrics on the trailer’s soundtrack deals with loss, but we are left to wonder, what will be the reason given for his death and who will now serve as the “hero” in the film? A clawed figure is seen at the end of the trailer, but we do not know who it is.

The synopsis of the new film is outlined as follows:

“In Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livanalli.”

The film is, of course, a visually cinematic masterpiece and the cast of characters remain dynamic. But will the audience be able to move on without Boseman’s legacy?
