Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth is helping parents and guardians get their students ready for school. The clerk’s office is hosting two events where families can obtain birth certificates, which are needed for school registration.

This is the second year families can take advantage of the service before the first day of school.

Last year, officials were able to distribute more than 300 birth certificates ahead of the 2021-2022 school year. This year, they are hoping for an even bigger turnout to help more people in need.
