Families can take a night dive into a world of bright neon colors as Typhoon Texas presents the return of its popular, family-friendly Neon Night on Saturday, June 11 with extended hours until 10 p.m.

As soon as the sun goes down, the west Houston waterpark will be bathed in a collection of brilliant neon colors, from the glowing lights lining its twisting slides to radiant, glowing performers and vivid, neon-lit dance parties and activities for all ages.

The Neon Night fun starts at 6:30 p.m. when guests will receive free glow stick necklaces and bracelets, while supplies last, and a Neon-themed photo booth opens at the park entrance.

The 80’s tribute band, Thunderpants, also will take to the Wave Pool stage while kids 13 and under can participate in a break-dancing competition at the Wave Pool stage starting at 7:15 p.m. between the band’s first and second sets. Guests also will enjoy a fun game of 80’s trivia at the Wave Pool stage at 8 p.m. between the band’s second and final sets.

Gates open at 11 a.m. when families can enjoy a full day of good, clean fun amidst more than a mile of winding slide paths, Texas-size wave pool, Lazy River the length of more than five football fields and children’s Gully Washer with its massive, 800-gallon water bucket, mini slides and spray areas.

The Texas-themed waterpark serves up authentic Texas barbecue, slow smoked onsite daily served with zesty BBQ sauce made from scratch. Guests 21 and over also can enjoy draft and bottled beer, cocktails and frozen alcoholic drinks in the Double T Bar.

Day tickets and season passes are available at typhoontexas.com.

The waterpark is located at 555 Katy Fort Bend Rd. next to Katy Mills Mall, 1.5 miles west of the Grand Parkway. Free onsite parking, free tubes and free life jackets are available.
