The Rolling Stones were forced to cancel their concert in Amsterdam this week, just hours before it was due to start, after lead singer Mick Jagger tested positive for Covid-19.

The band released a statement saying 78-year-old Jagger was tested “after experiencing symptoms of COVIDE upon arrival at the stadium.”

The band says they are deeply sorry for the postponement, but the safety of the audience, fellow musicians and the touring crew has to take priority,” adding that the show would be rescheduled and tickets for the concert would be honored whenever the new date is set.

We send our “get well soon” wishes to Jagger, who is definitely a musical icon beloved around the world.
