More details have been released in the death of rapper Trouble, who was shot and killed in Atlanta over the weekend.

It was first reported that the ATL rapper was fatally shot while sitting inside his car hours after performing a show, but it appears there was way more to the story. 11Alive obtained documents of the incident.

Police say what actually happened is the rapper was fatally shot by a man who found him in bed with his girlfriend.

The woman told police that she was asleep in her bed with Trouble — whose real name was  Mariel Semonte Orr —  when she was awakened by her ex “punching her in the face.”

She said the men then began fighting and her boyfriend — identified as Jamichael Jones – pulled out a gun and shot the rapper in the chest.

The woman said she and her ex had recently broken up after arguments over him not working or helping her pay the bills.

Jones was arrested on Tuesday without incident and taken into custody by the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office.

He has been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, home invasion, and battery.

Trouble’s breakout hit, “Bussin,” was remixed by Yo Gotti, Waka Flocka Flame and Trae the Truth. He’s also collaborated with other Atlanta-area talent including Quavo, a member of the group Migos, 2 Chainz, Jeezy and many more A-list talent.

Trouble’s last full-length studio project was “Thug Luv,” featuring 2 Chainz, Boosie Badazz, City Girls, Jacquees and Scalez. It was hailed as being one of his best works, with some praising him as a “true voice for his city” who had “come into his own.”

RIP.
