Thanksgiving is right around the corner, but you still have time to come up with a conversation-stopping dish guaranteed to please even the pickiest of eaters at the dinner table. This delicious Classic Glazed Holiday Ham recipe is courtesy of our friends at Cooking Professionally.

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter

• 1 cup brown sugar

• 1/4 cup honey

• 1/4 cup apple cider

• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

• pinch of nutmeg

• 8 pounds spiral cut ham, bone-in

• cranberries and fresh herbs, optional, for garnish

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Then, grease a baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2

Add the brown sugar, butter, apple cider, honey, nutmeg, and cinnamon to a pot.

Step 3

Then place the pot over medium heat on the stove-top. Bring to a simmer, cooking until the glaze is syrupy, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Set the ham in the greased pan, then pour half of the glaze over top of it. Reserve the remaining glaze for future use.

Step 5

Cover the ham with foil and place in the oven, baking it for 2 1/2 hours. Then, remove the foil and uncover it.

Step 6

Pour the remaining glaze over the top of the ham. If the glaze has begun to harden, microwave it for a couple of seconds first to liquefy before pouring.

Step 7

Bring the oven temperature up to 400 degrees F.

Step 8

Set the ham, uncovered, back in the oven. Bake until the glaze is browned and caramelized, for 15-20 minutes.

Step 9

Move the ham onto a serving platter, then garnish with cranberries and fresh herbs.

Step 10

Spoon the pan drippings over the top of the ham. Be sure to let the ham rest for a few minutes to help maintain juiciness.

Step 11

Carve the ham, then serve.
