This is further proof that it’s getting really “real out here.” Due to the surge of COVID-19 cases and its impact on system operations, Memorial Hermann has decided to close three of its 24-hour Houston area emergency rooms.

As of Monday at 5 p.m. – and until further notice – the hospital system is temporarily shutting down operations at Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center in Kingwood on Kingwood Drive, in Spring on the North Grand Parkway West, and at Sienna on Hwy 6.

Hospital officials said patients who are currently receiving care inside any of the emergency rooms will be safely discharged or transferred to another Memorial Hermann facility…… and those who require emergency care should proceed to another nearby emergency center for assistance.
