This one is for all of our last-minute shoppers who are scrambling in the 10th hour trying to plan something nice for the special mom in their life.

Listen, don’t worry! Once again Bayou Beat has come to the rescue with our list of “Top 5” things to do for Mother’s Day weekend.

First up on our list is the AAA Events & World Class Ent Mother’s Day concert at Constellation Field. Any mom would love to groove out to the sounds of Musiq Soulchild and Chrisette Michele! The event will take place Sunday, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will be outside and it’s a drive-thru, adhering to COVID safety group guidelines.

If mom isn’t down for a concert, treat her to a night of laughs at the MCPC Still Funny Comedy Show. Comedian MCPC will return to the stage with some of the best comics in the U.S. for a Mother’s Day laugh-a-thon. The show will start at 6 p.m. at the Panorama Film AcadeMe located at 7636 Harwin Drive.

Next on our list is the Houston Margarita Food Truck Festival! No mom could resist a variety of tacos, nachos, fajitas, and a tall refreshing frozen margarita. Bring the whole family out for food, fun, music, and games Saturday, May 8 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. at First Outreach located at 4603 West Orem Drive.

A day at the beach and some good food at the Texas Crab Festival would definitely make mom smile! Drive down to Galveston and take the ferry to Bolivar Peninsula and park at Crystal Beach. Take it from us, the crab nachos have become a festival favorite for over 10 years. Gates open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

After mom has had her Sunday Funday with the family, let her turn up at club Belvedere! Mom will get to release for the night at the FREE all-white party hosted by DJ Aggravated. Doors open at 8 p.m.

Do you have an event that Bayou Beat should know about? Hit us up on social media for a chance to be featured, and to all the moms out there, Happy Mother’s Day!
