The Capitol Justice Department has confirmed that two men have been arrested and charged for assault of U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick.
Sicknick died due to injuries sustained during the January 6 Capitol riots.
Julian Elie Khater, 32, of Pennsylvania, and George Pierre Tanios, 39, of West Virginia,
are charged with nine counts of violence and assaulting officers. The men are alleged to have sprayed Sicknick and other capitol police officers with a toxic chemical spray during the riots.
Both men are currently being held without bond.
More than 300 people have been charged, but the DOJ says that new information could easily bring that number to 400.
The FBI is continuing the investigation.
