NFL pro turned morning talk show host Michael Strahan has closed his trademark gap.

The Houston native built his multi-faceted career with his signature gap, and often shared in interviews how his parents taught him to embrace his smile.

On Tuesday, Strahan surprised fans with a video and revealed that he had undergone a dental procedure to fix his gap.

Say what now?

Yep, the 49-year-old father of four vlogged his dental procedure saying “almost 50 years in the making.”

Strahan later revealed that he did not permanently fill his gap.

Dr. Lee Gause of Smile Design Manhattan created a cosmetic clip-in that can be taken out and put in at any time.

Looks like we could have all been duped by an April Fools joke.

Either way, we applaud Strahan for switching it up, regardless if it’s permanent or temporary.
