The Houston Area Urban League is helping Houstonians with much-needed resources following the aftermath of the horrendous winter storm.

Over 50 people statewide are confirmed to be dead as a result of the storm, and many more are still impacted.

The Urban League is doing its best to help those who have yet to receive power and water to their homes.

“We are organizing a rapid response to citizens facing dangerous conditions related to damages and outcomes caused by the Texas Winter Storm and subsequent Blackouts,” the statement read in part.

The organization will be offering case management, access to food water, and supplies, individual recovery plans of action, and re-stabilization.

For those who need immediate assistance, they are asked to call 713-393-8700.

You can also donate to help others by visiting haul.org/donate  and contribute to the Operation Safe Houston campaign.

Our prayers go out to everyone in Texas and the surrounding areas.
