Sex is returning to the city, and we can’t deny that we are kind of excited about it!

Your favorite New York socialites are returning for an epic reboot that will be sure to make your 2021 just a little bit better.

HBO confirmed that they will be rebooting the legendary “Sex and the City” series and all of the cast members are on board… Well, except Kim Cattrall.

Yes, we know! There is no “sex” without Samantha! The reboot will follow Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte) as they navigate dating and relationships while in their 50’s.

Cattrall’s over-sexualized, career-driven character “Samantha” was the star of the show for many fans who feel that the show will not be the same without her.

“If there’s no Samantha, then what’s the point? Sorry, but visiting #SATC without Samantha and Kim Cattrall is just unnecessary,” wrote one fan.

Cattrall has never shied away from expressing how she felt about her cast members and has let it be known that she was “not here” for the fake friendships.

“We’ve never been friends,” Cattrall told CNN back in 2018. “We’ve been colleagues and, in some ways, that’s a very healthy place to be because then you have a clear line between your professional life and relationship and your personal.”

The 64-year-old former model has been very vocal about her dislike of some of the other cast members, mainly Parker, so it wasn’t a complete shock when Cattrall announced that she would not be returning for the reboot.

“SATC” was created by Darren Star, based on Candace Bushnell’s 1997 book. The series premiered on HBO in 1998 and ran until 2004. The show was turned into a major motion picture in 2008, and again in 2010.

HBO revealed that they will start filming the reboot, which will be called “And Just Like That,”  in late spring. So far, 10 half-hour episodes have been confirmed.
