Oftentimes, fans are happy if we don’t ruin a classic and just leave well enough alone, but in this case, we have been waiting for THREE DECADES for Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall to make our “African Prince” fairytale dreams come true again. Well the wait is over, “Coming 2 America” is blessing our 2021 movie nights, and we are certain for even more decades to follow.

The trailer has been released and fans are already going crazy for it.

Not only is Eddie and Arsenio back, and reprising all of our favorite barber shop, horny preacher and “Sexual Chocolate” characters, but so are original cast members Shari Headley, Garcelle Beauvais, John Amos, Paul Bates, Louie Anderson, Vanessa Bell Calloway and James Earl Jones! Sadly, Madge Sinclair, who played Eddie’s “Queen” mother in the first film, lost her battle with Leukemia in 1995 at the age of 57.

More all-star cast members have been added to the movie, including Wesley Snipes, Tracy Morgan, Leslie Jones, Teyana Taylor, Rick Ross, Michael Blackson and Jermaine Fowler, who plays the long lost son of “Prince Akeem.”

Murphy’s real-life daughter, Bella Murphy, will also be in the movie.

Judging from the trailer, just like the original, Murphy spared no expense in production quality and we know the feature will be full of laughs.

“We’ve gone above and beyond what anybody would think,” Murphy said.

The screenplay for “Coming 2 America” was written by “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris, along with Barry W. Blaustein and David Sheffield.

Instead of debuting in theaters, like everything else due to COVID, things have changed. It will be released on Amazon Prime Video on March 5, 2021.
