Our Latin sistahs are doing their thang and we are here for all of it.

The Billboard Music Awards announced that Cardi B has been crowned Billboard Woman of The Year.

“In a year unlike any other, Cardi B has continued to thrive with her Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper ‘WAP,’ a brand-new Reebok collection and her political activism. And to wrap up a successful 2020, the rapper will be named Woman of the Year at Billboard’s Women in Music,” said Billboard Magazine.

Many were taken back by the news seeing that Cardi only had one song this year, but the “Reebok Ambassador” was quick to clap back at the haters in a video posted to her Instagram page.

“Morning y’all, it’s your girl Cardi B, and yes, I am Woman of the Year,” she said. “And for you cry babies like, ‘But she only got one song!’ Yeah, I got that song, b****. You know, the one that sold the most? The one that streamed the most? The one that had Republicans crying on Fox News about it. The one that have a song that’s about to be six times platinum in three months.” She added. “The one that had your grandma popping her p**** on TikTok. Yeah b****, that one.”

But Cardi isn’t the only Latina making headlines and shutting down critics.

Jennifer Lopez has been named Billboard Women’s Icon of the Year and Canadian born Columbian singer Jessie Reyez, will receive the American Express Impact Award.

JLo has had an amazing 2020, including receiving the People’s Choice Icon Award, a memorable Super Bowl half-time show, and her recent engagement to baseball legend Alex Rodriguez.

We are excited to see these ladies making strides for women of color.

The 15th annual Billboard Women in Music will air on December 10 on NBC.
