Bobby Brown Jr. has been found dead at his home in Los Angeles, according to TMZ. His cause of death is unknown.

The 28-year-old was one of seven children of R&B superstar and “New Edition” original member, Bobby Brown.

Bobby Brown Sr. was once married to the legendary singer Whitney Houston, who died in February 2012 at the age of 48.

Houston was found unresponsive in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where a Grammy party was being held. According to a report released by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, Houston’s official cause of death was an accidental drowning. The effects of heart disease and cocaine found in her system were contributing factors as well.

“Bobby and Whitney” had a controversial, headline capturing wedding and marriage, and the two shared a daughter, Bobbi Kristina, who was also named after her father.

Many say Bobbi Kristina never got over her mother’s death and her life began to sprial out of control afterward.

Tragically, she suffered the same fate as her mother, also being found unresponsive in a bathtub at her home. She remained in a coma for months before dying. She was 22 years old.

Her devastated father remained by her side most of the time.

Many blamed Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, for her death. It was alleged that the two were in an abusive relationship and involved in drugs.

Bobbi Kristina died of Lobar pneumonia, which was the result of brain damage due to oxygen loss from water immersion and “mixed drug intoxication,” according to the medical examiner’s report. Additionally, marijuana, alcohol, benzoylecgonine (a cocaine-related substance), benzodiazepines (medications used to treat anxiety), and morphine were found in her system.

Gordon, who was found liable in a civil case for Bobbi Kristina’s death, also died years later.

His body was found in a hotel room in January 2020. Gordon died from an accidental overdose. Caffeine, morphine and naloxone, a drug that reverses opioid overdoses, were among a series of substances found in Gordon’s system, according to toxicology results.

“King of R&B” has not yet released a statement.
